Community partnerships are central to the participatory approach of the Museum. The teams at the Museum work with community partners from across the world and closer to home. This page highlights our current partnerships and past projects locally and nationally.
Working in partnership with local heritage groups, university researchers, museum teams and creative makers to promote and share African Caribbean and African Diaspora narratives.
Past community partnership programmes
These past projects have worked with local community partners to bring the Museum collection to life through personal interpretations of objects, co-production of displays and performance.
Specialist handling object based collection touch tours developed in partnership with Royal National Institute for the Blind and Oxfordshire Association for the Blind. These touch tours take place across the museums.
