Study days funded through the Kenneth Kirkwood Fund commemorate the Oxford University’s inaugural Professor of Race Relations. Kenneth Kirkwood (1919-1997) was instrumental in establishing the Friends of the Pitt Rivers Museum in the early 1980s, which laid the foundations for the Museum's Membership scheme today.
