Zena McGreevy

Job summary

Zena works mainly on the Museum’s collections on permanent display, as well as temporary exhibitions. She has worked at the Pitt Rivers Museum since 2003, including a two-year secondment at the Ashmolean Museum as documentation officer for the Department of Eastern Art. Previously, Zena worked at the Berndt Museum of Anthropology in Perth, Australia, and the South Australian Museum in Adelaide. She trained in Anthropology and Museum Studies at the University of Oxford and Lancaster University. Permanent displays at the Pitt Rivers Museum recently curated by Zena McGreevy include Nigerian Masks and Masquerade, Māori Wood Carving, and Rank and Status in the Pacific. During 2018, as well as supporting artists, communities, researchers and colleagues to curate temporary displays, Zena was a key curator for the Museum’s special exhibition 'Intrepid Women' (part of the University’s programme of events to mark the centenary of British women's enfranchisement).
